Getting back to tatting - 2 new designs coming soon

I love that my daughter is now an author with her first tatting pattern book.  I've designed a few patterns over the years, but I'm more "let's try this and see what happens" so when something great happens I can't go back and recreate it.  I've got two that I'm carefully writing down and editing as I find what works and what doesn't.

Some ice drops I made

My contributions to the Ice Drop designs.  Patterns by many talent artists found in the facebook group, Ice Drop Addicts.  Not all of mine are here but I've tatted around marbles, beads, and the little glass gems that are used in the bottoms of vases, fish tanks, and more.

My daughter had her first tatting pattern book printed.  We sold copies at Palmetto Tat Days and it is now available for sale at Tatting Corner.  link to her book for sale at Tatting Corner

It is really cool and there will be another one in the future.  If you aren't familiar with cabone rings there are 4 without rings, and great tutorials for covering cabone rings on youtube.

Blast from the past, not tatting too much but Palmetto Tat Days is coming up soon!  Hope to reconnect with friends and have a blast.  I'm assistant to my daughter who is teaching a pattern she made.  She is a talented designer and I'm hoping she sells a booklet with all her original patterns there.  I hope to develop patterns in the future, but none I've tried have come to being anything wonderful.

One of my favorite all time photos from tat days - - -

With Elesa, a wonderful tatter from Kernersville, Sue Miller, the tatting Goddess who taught my daughter and me to shuttle tat, and my oldest daughter.  Sue has since passed on but her legacy, not only to her family, but to all the many tatters she has helped, and the public that she helped expose tatting to, her legacy lives on.

well, time is getting away from me, but not going to get away too far.  committed to providing info/photos/ and anything else I can!

Not teaching at tat days this year, but wonderful news - my oldest daughter Paige is!  She has great patterns she designed years ago and will be teaching them.  I'm so proud of her.  I learned to tat and taught her a tiny bit of the basics and she has taken off with it.

her talent is showcased at www.PaigeDeputyDesigns.com which includes personal projects, like tatting and more, as well as her interior design portfolio.

here are a couple photos of her tatting that are of the general type (using rings) that I think she will be teaching us at tat days.
